Today’s quotation is in relation to the Inner Development Goal of
Being - relating to self.
The IDG website has this to say about it:
“Cultivating our inner life and developing and deepening our relationship to our thoughts, feelings and body help us be present, intentional and non-reactive when we face complexity.”
My response is:
“As far as we can discern, the sole purpose of human existence is to kindle a light in the darkness of mere being.” ― C.G. Jung, Memories, Dreams, Reflections
And you? What are your thoughts:
By the way, I am presenting at The Creativity Conference, 3-5 Oct. It’s free and online. More information here.
On 31 October I am running a free online creative conversation about the IDGs. More information and bookings here.
This is definitely a key goal of mine, but something I feel I didn't get taught much about as a child! I don't recall 'presence' being taught, 'intentionality' only a little, and 'non-responsive' was more like emotional non-expression. My understanding and awareness of these concepts has come with adulthood, via loved ones exploring the same. Great IDG to start with!
