Today’s quotation is in relation to the Inner Development Dimension of
Collaborating - social skills
The IDG website has this to say about it:
“To make progress on shared concerns, we need to develop our abilities to include, hold space and communicate with stakeholders with different values, skills and competencies.”
My response is:
“Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing,
There is a field. I’ll meet you there.” - Rumi, translation by Coleman Barks and John Moyne from The Essential Rumi.
And you? What are your thoughts?
On 31 October I am running a free online creative conversation about the IDGs. More information and bookings here.
not only does collaboration offer the potential for synergy (human made magic) it role models to our children what living 'together' really means.. our cultural obsession with 'independence' is socially, culturally and environmentally unsustainable. In the wise words of Vanilla Ice - we must stop, collaborate and listen.
