Hi there,
Welcome to Methods and Madness: Notes on Creativity for August 2022.
Scroll down to see your resource for the month, some interesting events (including my Beyond PowerPoint workshop), and opportunities.
But first here is a creative prompt for you to mull over.
This creative prompt was inspired by this quotation by Ursula Le Guin; I found it on Twitter:
If you were a palette of colours, what colours would you be?
Have you always been this palette?
Were you different colours at different stages of your life?
Are you different colours in different aspects of your life: doing your creative work, as a carer, as a friend, as a lover, as a worker, as a parent, as a volunteer, as a citizen?
Are you happy with your palette, or would you like to be a different colour?
I also found this on Twitter:
Why don’t you? Start writing. Or sketching. Or improvising…
Resource of the month: ‘How to make time for creativity and unleash your creative self’
C’est moi! Recently, relationships-expert Cheryl Muir interviewed me as part of her YouTube series. We talked about creativity as a way and means of establishing and nurturing a relationship with yourself. Have a listen.
