Today’s quotation is in relation to the Inner Development Goal of
Optimism.
The IDG website has this to say about it:
“Ability to sustain and communicate a sense of hope, positive attitude and confidence in the possibility of meaningful change.”
My response is:
“Every small, positive change we make in ourselves repays us in confidence in the future.” – Alice Walker
And you? What are your thoughts?
On 31 October I am running a free online creative conversation about the IDGs. More information and bookings here.
In our wee Manifesto (I still feel a bit icky and full of myself for having one) Optimism is the first value. I was very inspired by the book 'The Future We Choose'. The climate emergency is the prompt for its treatise on optimism but it rings true for any of the world's woes we are constantly bombarded with. This is a fantastic section of what is a brilliant book.
